Clean the Bay Day and National Trails Day at Mason Neck State Park

Clean the Bay Day: Mason Neck State Park has teamed with the Izaak Walton League and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to organize an effort to clean our shores.

Volunteers will be supplied with trash bags and gloves. All volunteers are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult. To register as a volunteer, visit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's web page at http://www.cbf.org/events 

National Trails Day: Also taking place on Saturday is an event known as National Trails Day. We invite visitors to come to our park and enjoy a nice day out on the trails.

Visitors are welcome to do any number of activities such as guided hikes, geocaching, bird watching, and even an opportunity to volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering, the park will have tools, trash bags and gloves available. Park staff will designate trails for general maintenance.
