Teen Killed in Shooting Overnight in Lorton
Fairfax County Police has identified the victim as a 17-year-old Lorton resident. An unidentified vehicle was spotted leaving the scene.

LORTON, VA — A male teenager was fatally shot late Wednesday night in the 9700 block Hagel Circle in Lorton, according to Fairfax County Police.
The victim was identified as Maurice Anderson Berger, 17, of Lorton.
The suspects, police say, are still at large. An unidentified vehicle reportedly was observed leaving the scene.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m., police were called to the scene after a report of gunshots and a possible victim. Officers arrived and found the teenager lying on a sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue was called and pronounced the victim dead.

Police and a K-9 unit scoured the area looking for suspects. A police helicopter was prevented from helping because of the rainy conditions.
Police say they're canvassing the neighborhood seeking information and evidence.
Hagel Circle is a town home community near Lorton Library.
