The weekend is just around the corner and while you may feel loyalty to the television you laid out serious cash for and the accompanying cable or satellite package, the weekend is the time to get out of the house. That said, here’s five things that are either a short car ride away—yes it is possible in Northern Virginia—or, depending on where you live a short walk.
- There is always something happening at and this weekend is no exception. Saturday is the last day of the Collector’s Showcase Exhibition and it will be celebrated with a Gala. Get information about the Gala here.
- This weekend also marks the 1st Annual Flameworking Retreat. It will be held in Building W-7. Click here for more information on how to register.
- With Spring not looking too far off, it might be time to start getting the golf swing back into shape. Why not hit a bag of balls at one of Lorton’s two driving ranges at or ?
- In case you have not heard, the came into some cats recently. Head on over to the shelter at 4500 West Ox Road in Fairfax between 12 and 5 on Saturday and see if one of those cats would bea good fit for your home.
- Lorton has a lot of parks. Pick one. Take a friend and spend some time at one of them and give your self some Vitamin D, the natural way.
