A car crash last evening on slick roadways claimed the life of a Manassas woman. Fairfax County Police say 57-year-old Sharon Parrish was traveling northbound on Ox Road and was attempting to turn left on to Henderson Road when her 2000 BMW was struck by a 2000 Chevrolet traveling southbound. Parrish, of 7998 Blooms Road, was declared dead at the scene. The 27-year-old male who was driving the Chevrolet was treated for minor injuries. The accident occurred just after 9 p.m.
Police say that the acident is still under investigation, and that speed may have played a role, not alcohol.
