Lorton's Robarge Is First-Ever Keydet Named to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

The face-off specialist is the first-ever VMI Keydet to make the list

 

Lorton's Stephen Robarge, a senior face-off specialist for the VMI Lacrosse team, has been named to the 2012 Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The award is the preeminent lacrosse accolade. 

Robarge is the first VMI Keydet, and one of four Virginia athletes selected on the list, which was recently announced and includes 73 athletes from each NCAA division.

“This is a complete surprise to me, you see a lot of top Division I players getting that award,” said Robarge to VMIKeydets.com. “It’s a huge honor to be included on that list. I want to thank my family for all the support they have given me during my college career, and especially my coaches.”

The Keydets, who are 0-1 for the season, face West Point on Saturday at noon.
