Memorial Day at The Fairfax in Lorton

More than 50 members of The Fairfax, a military retirement community just outside Fort Belvoir, celebrated Memorial Day on Monday.

"We need to remember those who have given their lives in the defense of our country and their relatives who have felt the losses," said resident Don Babers, LT. Gen. U.S. Army (ret.). 

The Fairfax is home to military parents, veteran officers and their spouses from the U.S. Uniformed Services, CIA, FBI, Foreign Service and other federal agencies.
