Pedestrian Hit And Killed In Lorton: Police

LORTON, VA—A pedestrian was hit and killed Friday morning at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Hagel Circle, according to Fairfax County Police. Charles Robinson, 63, was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.

Shortly after 6 a.m., say police, Robinson was trying to cross Richmond Highway when he was hit by a southbound 2009 Ford Explorer. He was not in a crosswalk, if only because there's not one at the intersection. The driver of the Ford remained at the scene, and no charges are expected.
