Photo: Monday Morning Accident on 14th Street Bridge Backs Up Interstate 395 Northbound Traffic To Mixing Bowl

If you had to drive into the District on Interstate 495 on Monday, March 18, 2013, you probably ran into this mess. It was caused by an early morning accident on the 14th Street Bridge, and a wintry mix was tough on visibility and area roadways were slick. 

This photo was taken at around 8:00 a.m., and traffic was backed up to the Springfield Interchange (also known as the Mixing Bowl).
