Photos: King Street Bluegrass Jam Collects Money for Hurricane Sandy Victims

Last week they raised money for humans, this week for animals.

King Street Bluegrass was in top form Thursday night at King Street Blues in Kingstowne. The regular Thursday night gig attracts the band along with other local musicans who play for charity.

They jammed for more than two hours Thursday night, and all the tips from their performance will go to an animal shelter in New Jersey, parts of which were hit by Superstorm Sandy.

King Street Bluegrass and other local musicians play every Thursday night in Kingstowne. The band, which starts the music at 8:30 p.m., has raised more than $15,000 for various charities over the past two years.
