Lorton Library is your local hub for information, and holds a great ongoing book sale (hardcovers are $1 and paperbacks are .50 cents).
A community fixture since it opened in 1980, the library has "a collection of more than 60,000 items, eight internet stations, a quiet study room with seating for six, free Wi-Fi access and an 82 person capacity meeting room," according to it's website.
