Police Continue Murder Investigation of Retired World Bank Economist

Johan De Leede, a resident of River Drive, was found shot March 11 at his home and later died, according to police.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police released this information Monday regarding their ongoing investigation of the murder March 11 of Johan De Leede, a resident of River Drive. Police responded to the area about 10 days later after suspicious noises were reported.

Detectives of the Major Crimes Division continue to actively pursue any and all investigative leads in the murder of Johan De Leede that occurred on Friday, March 11 in the 6000 block of River Drive.

In coordination with various department assets, they have continued to engage the community to encourage anyone with information that could be related to this incident, to contact police.

They have gone door-to-door on numerous occasions to ensure that they speak with everyone in the Hallowing Point area, conducting follow up interviews and attempting to obtain new information.
