Police Report for September 9-15

There were several vehicle thefts in Lorton last week:

Gunston Plaza , 7700 Block:  Lincoln Towncar

Potters Hill Circle, 9600 Block:  2007 Toyota Camry

Terminal Road, 8400 Block:  2005 Nissan Xterra

And there was an attempted robbery in the 9400 block of Cherwek Drive. Police said that on Wednesday, September 15 just before 9 p.m. A man assaulted a 48-year-old woman and tried to take her purse, but was unsuccessful. The suspect was described as Middle Eastern, between 22 and 28 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and between 155 and 175 pounds. He had black hair and fled in a 2-door, red Toyota
