The most important news in schools this week is that there isn't any...at least on Thursday and Friday, because classes won't be held as Fairfax County Public Schools will begin Winter Break on Thursday.
Also -- Classes will be dismissed two hours early on Wednesday to avoid traffic delays.
Otherwise the only after-school event of note is the Holiday Concert on Tuesday at 7 at South County Secondary School.
