Girl Abducted On Way To School In Manassas, Police Arrest Suspect
City of Manassas Police have arrest a man they say posed as a police officer and forced a girl into a car as she was on the way to school.
MANASSAS, VA — A girl abducted while heading to school last Thursday was able to escape from the vehicle and the suspect who posed as a police officer has been arrested, according to authorities.
Around 8:39 a.m. on Sept. 5, Manassas Police responded to a report of a juvenile girl in distress near the Quarry Road and Zebedee Street intersection. Police believe a man driving a red Jeep SUV approached the girl as she was walking to school in the 9400 block of Clover Hill Road.
The man claimed to be a police officer and told the girl to get in the car, then grabbed her arm and pulled her into the front passenger seat. The man drove down Clover Hill Road to Wellington Road, Fairview Avenue and Quarry Road. The girl jumped out of the car at Quarry Road.

Police were called by a resident who said they found the girl in distress after she escaped the suspect’s vehicle about 2 miles from where she was forced into the man's vehicle, The Prince William Times reported.
Detectives' investigation led them to identify Jesus Enrique Ramirez Cabrera, 23, of Manassas, as the suspect. Police also carried out a search warrant at a City of Manassas residence.

Ramirez Cabrera was charged with abduction, robbery, impersonation of law enforcement and petit larceny. He was held without bond at the Prince William County Detention Center.

Police do not believe other suspects were involved in the abduction. No other information about the case is being released due to the victim's age and the ongoing investigation.
