Home Burglar Caught Red-Handed in Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA—A man was arrested early Wednesday after being spotted breaking into a home in the 8500 block of Richmond Avenue, according to Manassas City Police. Saquan Milik Payne, 22, of Manassas, was charged with burglary and theft from a motor vehicle (third or subsequent offense).

Around 12:30 a.m., police went to the scene for a reported prowler. They found that Payne had entered the resident's garage before fleeing. Police scoured the area before spotting him, after which he led them on a brief chase before being caught and subdued following a minor use of force. No injuries were reported.
