Victim Dies After Saturday Night Shooting in Manassas

MANASSAS, VA — The victim in a Saturday night shooting in the Sudley area has died from his injuries, according to Prince William County Police.

Edwin Ivan Chicas, 22, of Manassas, was found by officers at 9:51 p.m. in the 7500 block of Quail Run Lane. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

Police note that homes and vehicles in the area were also struck by gunfire. The shooting does not appear to be random.

The unknown suspect fled the area in a vehicle. No description was provided to police, but investigators are following up on leads, according to a police statement.
