Man Pummels Woman's Face In Gainesville: Police

GAINESVILLE, VA—A man was arrested Sunday after pummeling a woman and causing severe injuries at a home in the 13000 block of Handel Place, according to Prince William County Police. Shaun Alexander King, 39, of the same address, was charged with malicious wounding.

Shortly before 11 a.m., police began investigating a domestic incident. They found that between 2-5 a.m., the 35-year-old woman and King—a family member—were in an argument that escalated. That's when he punched her in the face multiple times. They eventually separated and she went to a local hospital, where police were contacted.
