Manassas Government Contractor Prepares for Charity Paint Party

Contract Solutions Inc. (CSI) is a Manassas-based government contractor that plans to donate its staff members' time and efforts to a Woodbridge shelter next month.

A Manassas-based government contractor is preparing to give back to the community in a large and very colorful way.

Contract Solutions, Inc. (CSI) will host a "paint party" at 9 a.m. on Oct. 5 at the Bill Mehr Drop-In Center at 14730 Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge. Anyone who wishes to help with the painting can come, staff said.  Lunch and snacks will be provided for volunteers who come out.

“I invite the community to join CSI in a ‘gift of service,’” said Corliss Udoema,  CEO and president of CSI. “We will be paying it forward, one paint stroke at a time.”

CSI is also collecting gently-used sheets and blankets of any size for donation to the shelter, she added.

The shelter was adopted by CSI, and now its staff members support it through their "Hope in a Bag" program which provides bags containing clean socks, food and inspiration verses to people staying at the shelter, Udoema said. The program runs each year from Thanksgiving to March.
