Suspicious Man With Van Approaches Girl, 9: Police

MANASSAS, VA — Manassas City Police is alerting residents to a suspicious man who approached a 9-year-old girl last week.

Police describe the man as a White male in his early 20s. He has blond hair past his ears to his jaw line. The man had a "skinny" build.

He was wearing a black and white shirt with the Batman logo, shorts with an American flag design and black sandals. He also had a nose ring in his right nostril and a "Kill Me" tattoo on his right foot.

According to police, the man approached a 9-year-old girl in outsider her apartment in the 9700 block of Main Street at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday.

After a brief exchange, he left in a van. Police note the account of the suspect's intentions is unclear.
