Applications Now Accepted for Manassas Park Light Parade

The annual light parade is planned for Dec. 8 in Manassas Park.

Applications are being accepted for Manassas Park's premiere holiday event—the 7th Annual Light Parade, planned for Saturday, Dec. 8 in the city.

The entry fee is $10 per vehicle; the last day to register is Dec. 7, the day before the event, parks and recreations event staffers said.

The parade is free for spectators.

It all begins at General Ridge's Golf Course at 5:45 p.m., proceeds down Manassas Drive, and ends at 7 p.m. at the Manassas Park Police Department.

City Council members, school board members, city staff and their families participate in the event by riding in cars or walking the parade route while throwing candy to specatators.
