Free Car Washes in Honor of Police Appreciation Week
Speedy Green in Manassas Park also offers 30 percent off detailing services this week.

Speedy Green Car Wash is offering police, fire and EMT personnel free car washes Friday in honor of National Police Week.
If the ride is too dirty and they can't wait until the end of the week, the car wash is clipping 30 percent off any car detailing services all week.
Speedy Green is extending the offer to all firefighters, police and EMTs who live or work in the Washington D.C. area.

Chip Ashton, the owner of Speedy Green, said he appericates what emergency personnnel do for residents.
"The police, fire and rescue personnel are our local heroes, who spend most of their days making our communities safer and helping in times of need. We’re very grateful for the work they do," Ashton said. "My late father was a police commissioner in Overland Park, Kan., and my cousin, Mark Hanson, was a police officer with the Huntington Beach, Calif. police department.

Hanson died in the line-of-duty, so honoring National Police Week is also a personal tribute to his father and cousin, Ashton said.

One hundred percent of all car wash water is recycled and biodegradable chemicals are used—making Speedy Green one of only a handful of car washes nationwide to do so.
Speedy Green also features a self-serve dog wash that offers flea and tick treatment, conditioner, hair dryers and water extractors.
