Manassas Park students will officially kiss summer goodbye and return to school on Sept. 3.
Kindergarteners will return to school on Sept. 4, one day after their older counterparts.
Though school doesn't start until next month there are still many school-related functions going on in August.
Manassas Park High School staff members will conduct home visits on Aug. 26,
while Manassas Park Elementary School and Cougar Elementary School will host open house events from 3 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 27 and Aug. 28, respectively.
Manassas Park Middle School and Manassas Park High School will have open houses on Aug. 29.
Orientation for sixth and ninth graders is Aug. 28 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
There are a total of 180 instructional days this school year in Manassas Park City Schools. That number exceeds whats mandated by the Virginia Department of Education.
