Manassas Park Cougars Win Class A State Soccer Championship

Fourth sports championship this year for Manassas Park High School.

The Manassas Park Cougar Boys Soccer team defeated the George Mason High School Mustangs Saturday 3-2 in the Class A State Championship match.

The match was held Saturday morning at Radford University and was the fifth and final match between George Mason and Manassas Park.

Going into the match, the Mustangs of George Mason were the defending state soccer champions.

The four Cougar seniors who played in Saturday morning's match missed their graduation ceremony, but will have a special commencement held just for them at 8 p.m.

The four seniors are: Andres Cifuentes, Cesar Orellana, Edwin Lopez Bernal, Kelvin Ruiz.
