Manassas Park Firefighters Respond to Two Incidents Monday

Manassas Park firefighters responded to two incidents Monday—one on Digital Drive and the other on Morton Court.

 At about 10 a.m. E-911 dispatch received a report of a condominium fire on Digital Drive.  When firefighters arrived, they discovered there was no fire, but an odor coming from a furnace, Manassas Park Police Chief John O’Neal said.

 Hours later, at about 1:30 p.m. Manassas Park firefighters responded to a report of a fire in a bedroom on Morton Court.  It was later discovered that it was actually a small fire in a trash can, O’Neal said. When they arrived the fire was already extinguished.

 No injuries were reported in connection with either incident.
