Manassas Park Man Arrested for Stealing Potato Chips

Suspect also wanted by Manassas City Police on marijuana charges.

A Manassas Park man charged with lifting a bag of potato chips from a convenience store is also facing marijuana charges in the city of Manassas, according to Manassas Park police reports.

John Mark Pizzola, 50, of 134 Walden St. is charged with shoplifting.

The incident happened Monday at Sheetz at 8504 Centreville Rd. in Manassas Park, when a clerk saw a man take a bag of potato chips and leave the store.

 Police located the man, who turned out to have the money to pay for the chips.

 A brief investigation by police revealed the potato chip suspect was wanted by Manassas City Police for failing to appear in court on a marijuana charge.

 He was arrested and taken to the adult detention center in Manassas to await a court date. A $1,000 bond has been set.
