Medical Examiner's Office: Lorenz's Cause, Manner of Death Still Undetermined

Details on Manassas Park's man death remain sparse.

The cause and manner of the death of a Manassas Park man remains undetermined, according to the Virginia Medical Examiner's office.

Family and friends say the body of Ricky Lorenz was found in his home on the 100 block of Adams Street Tuesday morning.

Manassas Park Police, along with the Prince William County Police Department responded to the home and later said a 41-year-old man was found dead inside.

The death was reported as unattended but isn't considered suspicious,Manassas Park Police said in an earlier report. 

The case was turned over to the Virginia Medical Examiner's office, Manassas Park Police Public Information Officer Karen Barton said Monday.

Officials with the Northern District Medical Examiner's office in Manassas said Lorenz's cause and manner of death is currently listed as pending.

The cause and manner may not be released for nine weeks, but the time frame could be longer or shorter than that, according to the office.

There are five manners of death:natural, accidental, suicide, undetermined or homicide.
