Police: Man Attacked With Handrails on Old Centreville Road

The 35-year-old man's injuries don't appear to be life threatening, police said.

Investigators are trying to determine who used wooden hand rails to attack a man early Thursday morning, Prince William County Police reports show.

It happened to a 35-year-old man just outside of Manassas Park on the 7300 block of Old Centreville Rd.

The victim, who is homeless, told officers he was approached by two men he didn't know. The men beat him with the wooden hand rails, stole his phone and cash before running away, police said.

Witnesses said one of the attackers appeared to a young boy. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful but charges are pending, police reports show. Police haven't identified the second suspect.
