Police Search for Suspect Wanted on Federal Firearms Charges
A suspect wanted on federal firearms charges alluded police custody Tuesday night after they tried to arrest him in Manassas Park at the corner of Manassas Drive and Centreville Road.

A suspect wanted on federal firearms violations remains at large after officers said he fled from Manassas Park Police and federal agents who tried to arrest him Tuesday night near Centreville Road and Manassas Drive.
The name of the suspect or a physical description was not released by the Manassas Park Police Department.
Manassas Park Police said they assisted Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agents in attempting to serve an arrest warrant on the subject at Centreville Road and Manassas Drive.

Police said the suspect fled on foot along a nearby wooded area, according to a press release issued Wednesday afternoon by Manassas Park Police Department.
A perimeter was set up by authorities, but they weren’t able to locate the suspect.

Police cruisers from Manassas Park, Manassas City and Prince William County were seen lining Euclid Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
There was also extenstive police activity in the Brandy Station community along Sandstone Drive, but it is not immediately clear if any of this was in connection with the wanted suspect.
The suspect is also wanted in connection with misdemeanor charges filed in Washington D.C. and by the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force.
