F-bomb Added to Merriam-Webster Dictionary
F-bomb, a word that refers to the four-letter word banned from the lips of children everywhere, was added to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

"F-bomb" officially has been added to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, giving it a sort of baccalaureate creditability—an upgrade from its slang designation, according to The Huffington Post.
Merriam-Webster Dictionary staff said the word first appeared in newspapers some two decades ago, but a huge spike in the media use of the term "F-bomb" came in 2004 when former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney dropped one on the Senate floor, according to Hufftington Post reports.

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden dropped the bomb in the same place years later.
The "F-bomb" is just one of 100 words added to the century-old publication.

Some other words joining the ranks are cloud computing, game changer, e-reader and sexting, the latter being a word often accompanied by an annoying underline—it's not yet recognized by many word processing programs, i.e. my own.
