Suspect Sought in Manassas Park Assault Case
Police said a suspect assaulted a woman as she tended to her children in a Manassas Park shopping center.

Police are searching for a suspect they said assaulted a woman as she was tending to her children, according to a press release issued Thursday by the Manassas Park Police Department.
The incident reportedly happened May 5 shortly after 4:30 p.m. at the Manassas Park Shopping Center.
A woman was in the backseat of her car, caring for her children, when a man suddenly appeared, assaulted her and fled on foot toward Old Centreville Road.

The motive for the attack is unclear.
Police arrived on the scene and used a canine team to track the woman’s attacker, but were unable to locate him.

The suspect is described as a heavy set white man in his late teens to early twenties.
The suspect was last seen wearing glasses and a dark blue sweatshirt and jeans.
