The Final Fight: Cougars Soccer Team Faces George Mason in State Championship
The Cougars face the George Mason High School Mustangs for the fifth and final time this year in the 2011 Virginia State Championships after defeating the Radford High Bobcats Friday in the semifinal round.

The Manassas Park High School Boys Soccer team will play in its first Virginia state championship game today against their rivals and defending state soccer champions the Mustangs of George Mason High in the teams' fifth, final—and most important match of the year.
The Cougars lead the series with three wins and one lost handed to them by the Mustangs.
The cougars defeated the Radford Bobcats Saturday afternoon 2-1 in the Virginia Group A State Seminfinals played at Radford University.

Cougars Junior Flores and Andres Cifuentes scored the two points for the team.
The final showdown begins at 10 a.m. and is an all important match— especially for the four seniors on the team who will miss the official Manassas Park commencement ceremony, which has a start time of 9:59 a.m.

The seniors will have a special graduation ceremony held for them at 8 p.m. today in the Manassas Park High School gymnasium.
