Wind Impact From Irene Low for Manassas Park

No significant wind damage is expected, according to NWS.

Manassas Park, Manassas and Prince William County are all expected to experience low impact from the winds of Hurricane Irene, as it passes through coastal Virginia tonight.

 The National Weather Service map indicates wind speeds of 30 to 40 miles per hour with wind gusts up to 65 miles per hour for the area.

 Minor damage could occur to older mobile homes and young shrubs. Unsecured outdoors items such as trash cans could be blown around and should be brought indoors, if possible, according to the NWS.
