🌱 Gas Leak In Chesterfield Heights + Breeze Adds Flight To New York

Here are the top three stories in Norfolk today:

  1. Norfolk Fire & Rescue responded to a gas leak in the Chesterfield Heights section of Norfolk yesterday morning. The leak was located in the 2800 block of Stanhope Avenue. Homes in the immediate area were temporarily evacuated as a safety precaution. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
  2. Breeze airline will add another nonstop flight from Norfolk to the New York City area starting June 30. The budget airline announced on Wednesday that it will start running flights from Norfolk to Westchester Airport, about an hour car ride from Manhattan. Breeze also flies from Norfolk to Long Island.   3. Norfolk business owner Jose Villegas was a recipient of a new smile 35 years ago when Operation Smile raised money for him to come to the area from the Philippines for a surgery to remove a two-pound tumor from his chin. “Operation Smile changed my whole personality from hopeless. They give me hope and a future,” said Villegas. This year Operation Smile will celebrate 40 years of changing lives around the world. (WAVY.com)
