🌱 Norfolk State University Bomb Threat + Rainbow Prom This Saturday

Here are the top three stories in Norfolk today:

  1. Norfolk State University Police are investigating an unconfirmed campus bomb threat that was made yesterday afternoon. The FBI is assisting the investigation into the threat made to the university and other institutions. The preliminary investigation found that there was no imminent threat of danger to the Norfolk campus. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
  2. Doctors and staff at CHKD cheered on 5-year-old Cayden Addison as he walked down the hospital hall in celebration of the completion of his cancer treatment on Monday. Cayden was diagnosed with leukemia when he was three years old. Among those celebrating were his parents, older brother, and his oncologist, Dr. Katherine Watson. (13newsnow.com WVEC)
  3. The Rainbow Prom, an event hosted by local organizations and high school Gender and Sexuality Alliances, will take place on Saturday. Organizers said that the prom aims to provide a safe place for LGBTQ+ youth to celebrate their relationships, self-expression, and embrace their true selves. The sold-out event will host over 100 youth from Hampton Roads. (WAVY.com)
