🌱 Old Greenies Gets Spruced Up + Attempted Robbery At Norfolk Bank

Here are the top three stories today in Norfolk:

  1. Norfolk is moving forward with making improvements to the old Greenies site around 1st View Street and Ocean View Avenue. The $600,000 project will span two years with crews restoring dunes, walkways, and public spaces. Construction of a temporary parking lot will be worked on between April and June.   2. One of the industry's newest premier ships, the Ocean Explorer, arrived in Downtown Norfolk Thursday evening for the first overnight cruise ship call of the 2022 season. The luxury cruise liner is docked at the Nauticus Half Moone Cruise & Celebration Center. The Ocean Explorer was launched in 2021 and is built for global exploration. (News 3 WTKR Norfolk)
  3. Norfolk police are asking the public for help in identifying a man who attempted to rob the First Virginia Bank located at 5900 E. Virginia Beach Boulevard on Wednesday. The attempted robbery took place around 1:10 p.m. when the man entered the bank with a knife and handed the clerk a note. The man ended up leaving the bank without any money. (WAVY.com)
