Here are the top five stories in Norfolk:
- Virginia State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Monday afternoon on I-264 in Norfolk. The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes near Newtown Road, and police have described it as an isolated event. The interstate had to be closed while police collected evidence, but no one was injured. (WTKR)
- A delivery person was critically injured on Tuesday after being hit by a hatch door at Colonna's Shipyard in Norfolk. Emergency services were called to the scene in the morning, and the victim was taken to a local hospital. There is no information on the circumstances surrounding the incident, and no further updates have been released. (WAVY)
- Keith Anderson, an 18-year-old former Norfolk State University student who was reported missing last month, was found safe in a homeless shelter in Houston on Sunday. Keith was last seen on NSU's campus on Jan. 29, and the university confirmed he is not currently enrolled for the spring 2023 semester. According to Keith's mother, he took the bus to Houston, and the family has no relatives there. (KHOU)
- PRINCO LLC, a joint venture between Premier Inc., Vario Labs LLC, and Caretrust LLC, will invest up to $23.8 million to establish a healthcare product manufacturing facility in Norfolk. The facility will produce incontinence pads to support more than 4,400 hospitals. The venture is expected to create around 284 jobs and is funded with a $50,000 grant from the Commonwealth's Opportunity Fund. (Augusta Free Press)
- The owner of a Norfolk business, Ricardo Alonso, has reported that his company trailer was stolen on Sunday night, resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Alonso owns the Mexican restaurant "Plaza Del Sol," which uses the trailer to prepare and serve food on-site at festivals across the country. The trailer was last seen outside the restaurant on Sunday night, and Alonso is hoping that someone will spot it and call the police. (13 News Now)

- On Mar. 8, Norfolk’s Office of Resilience is hosting its last public open house to share updates on the City’s Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Brownfields Community-Wide Assessment Grant. The open house will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Slover Library. (City of Norfolk)
- A Norfolk man recently won a $300,000 Jumbo Cash scratcher that he purchased from the Food Lion on Colley Avenue. “I’m so excited!” Thomas Kirsch told Virginia Lottery officials of his win. (3 WTKR)
