15U All-Stars Advance in Babe Ruth Tourney
Vienna defeats Brunswick 8-0 in Saturday afternoon game

The 15-U Vienna All-Stars shook off their Friday loss to notch their second shutout win of the Babe Ruth Leagues of Virginia State Tournament.
Vienna defeated Bruswick 8-0 on Saturday afternoon and will face the loser of the New Kent-Stafford game at 10 a.m. Sunday at Waters Field. If they win, they will again play at 7 p.m.
Alec Dolton served as starting pitcher for Vienna. He gave up three hits and struck out eight batters in five innings of work. His reliever, John Somers, proved just as dominant, giving up no hits and striking out five.

Riley Cummins led the team in RBI with two. Cummins and Kalib Ashcraft led in hits with two.
Though the Vienna All-Stars jumped to the lead in the first inning with one run, their offense exploded in the second, scoring five of their eight runs. Brunswick held Vienna to their 6-0 lead through three more innings, but Vienna was able to add two more runs in the sixth inning with RBI from Ryan Power and Cummins.
