Coyers Receive All-State Honors

Coaches Association names Caroline Coyer as co-Player of the Year

More than a week after leading their team to the , the Coyer twins continue to receive accolades. 

Caroline Coyer was named co-Player of the Year in the Virginia High School Coaches Association's All-State team after earning Virginia's Gatorade Player of the Year earlier this month. She shares the All-State title with Adrienne Motley of Woodside High.

Katherine Coyer earned a spot on the second team for her performance this year, which capped off with a game-high 24 points in the state championship to be named MVP of the tournament.

The sisters have both committed to play basketball with the Division I Villanova University program next year.

The honors come after a string of milestones for the Coyers this season. Caroline Coyer ,  and earned the distinction as Player of the Year both in the  and the . Katherine Coyer and earned a spot on the first team for both the  and .
