Huskies defeat Covenant Eagles 42-7

The Flint Hill Huskies traveled down to Charlottesville for their first victory of the season, routing the Covenant Eagles 42-7 on Saturday.

The first Huskie points came off a 5-yard touchdown pass from Andy Rehberger to Kevin McNerney in the first quarter. In the second, Trevor Ogundepo ran 20 yards for a touchdown.

The Huskies led by one touchdown, 14-7, at the half, but broke the game wide open in the second half, holding the Eagles to 7 and scoring four more touchdowns, two from Johnny Howard.

In the third quarter, Harrison Gray blocked a punt, which Connor Chess recovered in the end zone. Cameron Field also ran in a 4-yard touchdown.

Hunter Windmuller made all six extra-point kicks for the Huskies.

On defense, Howard and Alex Suarez each had an interception, and Larry Chambers blocked a field goal attempt.
