Help Oakton Patch Pick a Timeline Cover Photo

Last week, Facebook converted all fan pages to its new Timeline format. Each page has the ability to include a large cover photo to help illustrate what its all about. 

Since Oakton Patch is all about your daily life in Oakton, we want you to show us photos that you think epitomize Oakton. We'll use reader comments to choose Oakton Patch's first cover photo, then rotate through some of the other submissions.

Here are some guidelines to help you choose the perfect photo:

• The ideal dimensions should be 850px wide by 315px high: So think big and beautiful.
• Think about place and images that sum up your community: Statues, street signs, landscapes. Treelined streets would be perfect now that Spring has sprung.
• Avoid using public figures or locals’ faces.
