London Minister Sentenced for Child Sex Abuse

A London minister received eight years in prison on Friday for child sex abuse, which he pleaded guilty to last November, This Is Local London reports.

Robert Dando, 47, was arrested in Oakton in July 2010 after two sons — ages 21 and 17 at the time of the complaint — of Dando's family friends came forward with allegations he had sexually abused them multiple times when they were younger.

He pleaded guilty to four counts of sexually molesting the boys between 1995 and 1998, from the ages of 7 and 8.

One victim claimed Dando molested him on 50 to 60 different occasions while Dando was visiting the family in the U.S.

He will be jailed in Fairfax County.

Dando resigned as minister of Worcester Park Baptist Church in suburban London after his arrest last year.
