The Parents Who Host, Lose the Most campaign from the Unified Prevention Coalition was in full force in the month of May. Though it gets attention during prom season, the campaign, which aims to reduce underage drinking, continues into graduation season and throughout the year.

The campaign raises awareness of not only the statistics behind underage drinking, but also of the legal ramifications for an adult to provide alcohol to people under the age of 21.

Many parents believe allowing their child to drink in their presence will prevent the more serious mistakes they'd likely make on their own, while other parents would vehemently disagree. Either way, I think most parents would agree keeping their child away from alcohol altogether would be the ideal solution.
