Oakton Crew Ends Season at National Semifinals

One boat misses semifinals by 7/10 of a second

Oakton Crew raced in the Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association 66th annual Regatta last weekend for their last regatta of the 2011 season.

The CSSRA Regatta is held in St. Catharines, Ontario, and hosts some of the top crew teams in North America. The races are 2,000 meters, rather than 1,500 meters, which is typical of high school sprint races in the U.S.

Cougar Crew raced in five events in the regatta: Senior Women’s Four, Senior Women’s 63kg 4 (lightweight), Senior Men’s 8, Senior Men’s 4 and Senior Men’s 72kg 4 (lightweight).
