Reader Gail Palmer says she first saw the eagles on President's Day on Fox Mill Road in Oakton. She went home, grabbed her camera, and returned to take photos. She has been tracking the eagles' progress over the last few weeks.
"There now seems to be young eaglets in the nest since one of the adults remains with the nest at all times," Palmer writes in her blog post. "It is now extremely hard to catch much activity around the nest because of the folliage that surrounds it, but occasionally I am lucky to be driving by at just the right time. Looking forward to seeing those young ones try out their wings."
