Oakton's First Brewery Expected To Open In 2022

OAKTON, VA — Oakton will be getting its own brewery thanks to Settle Down Easy Brewing Co.

During the brewery's third anniversary celebration this past Saturday, Settle Down Easy Brewing Co. announced it would expand to a second location. The new location called Settle Down Easy – Oakton Tasting Room is anticipated to open in late spring 2022. The brewery will be at Hunter Mill Plaza at the intersection of Chain Bridge Road and Hunter Mill Road in Oakton. The 4,000-square-foot tasting room will have 80 seats.

"We experienced wonderful success following our initial opening, and even throughout the global pandemic we were able to expand our customer base through our to-go program," stated Settle Down Easy Brewing Co. owner Frank R. Kuhns. "We are thrilled to open a new location in Oakton and really integrate our concept with the many incredible local food and beverage producers in the area."

The second location will have a one-barrel brew house, offering its own brews along with a rotating selection of taps from other Fairfax County breweries. There will also be a curated wine and cider menu.

Food pairings will be offered in partnership with The Fermented Pig, a family-owned business specializing in artisan meats and charcuterie. This will be the brand's brick-and-mortar location, offering artisanal paninis, fresh salads, local cheeses, charcuterie, entrées and more. Menu items will be sourced from local suppliers within 100 miles of the tasting room.

Settle Down Easy Brewing Co.’s original location opened at 2822 Fallfax Drive in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County in November 2018. The location houses a five-barrel brewhouse and is named after a Grateful Dead lyric. The brewery gained national traction after winning a gold medal at the Best of Craft Beer Awards in Bend, Oregon.
