What Does it Mean to Live the American Dream?

We hear about it all the time. Politicians will tell us when we're achieving or falling short of it. Countless television shows and books depict people striving for it. But no two people have the same American Dream.

A new Patch series, "DisPatches: The Changing American Dream,” will attempt to capture the evolution of the American Dream. Patch will look at how trends have evolved in the area, reshaping the culture in Oakton and Fairfax County.
