Upcoming "Jack and the Beanstalk" Matinees 1/31/26 & 2/07/26

“Jack and the Beanstalk” - Shows on Saturday January 31 and February 7, 2026

Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and $5 for children under 8 years old. The matinées will be at 11 am and 2 pm with tickets sold only at the door. 

Jack and the Beanstalk, written by Kathryn Schultz Miller of ArtReach Children's Theatre Plays, is presented by Vienna Theatre Company's "Theatre for Young Audiences." It will be performed in the Vienna Community Center (120 Cherry Street SE, Vienna, VA).

Jack and the Beanstalk is a faithful retelling of the well-known fable and is being presented to encourage audience interaction. A real cast pretends to be imaginary characters, aided by a "magic keeper" who helps them tell the story. Using the device of "a play within a play," the script makes a connection to child's play and the magic of imagination!

This show is rated G for General Audiences and uses normal theater lighting (no strobes). Sound effects include stomping feet and a snare-like drum to simulate rainstorms.
