Police Charge Two Men In String Of Burglaries
Ten felony warrants issued for grand larceny, burglary of southwest Vienna homes
Police charged two Maryland men Thursday for their connection to a string of burglaries in southwest Vienna last week.
Xavier Dion Currie, 19, of New Carrolton, Maryland, and Marquette Delonte Davis, 18, of Capitol Heights, Maryland, were each charged with five offenses: two counts of burglary, two counts of grant larceny and one count of attempted burglary
The charges stem from a Vienna Police Department investigation into three separate residential burglaries on Jan. 7 and Jan. 8.
Sometime after 5 p.m. on Jan. 7, a Yeonas Drive resident discovered lights left on inside her home after she arrived home from work. Police believe burglars entered through a sliding glass door and took jewelry, some clothing and alcohol.
Around 7 p.m. Jan. 7, a citizen reported seeing a window open at a home on Lakewood Drive SW; it had also been burglarized.

Around 8:30 p.m. Jan. 7, and again at 9:10 p.m. Jan. 10, a resident of Hillcrest Drive reported two men, who appeared to be black men in their 20s, tried to break into his home.
While investigating, Police learned that Falls Church City Police had recovered some items stolen from one of the Vienna homes through a separate investigation. The discovery led police to the men and the warrants for them, Police said. They are being held without bond in the Arlington County Adult Detention Center.
A fourth burglary in the same timeframe, on Lynn Street, is also being investigated, Officer Bill Murray said, but has not yet been connected to the men.
