Scoreboard: Madison Girls Basketball Wins Eighth Straight
Marshall High School wrestling posts rare losses in Cavalier Duals

In a fiercely contested Liberty District match-up, the Madison High School girls basketball team defeated the Fairfax Rebels 58-46 Tuesday night -- their eighth straight victory.
The win puts the Warhawks in control of the Liberty District as they prepare to close out the first half of the regular season Friday against second place Stone Bridge (5-2).
Madison took an early lead Tuesday but the Rebels continued to battle back, leaving the outcome of the game in doubt until the waning minutes of the final whistle. The Warhawks led after the first period 13-7, and held onto a 27-18 lead entering the half. After taking an 8-point lead at the end of the third period, the Warhawks outscored the Rebels 19-15 in the fourth period to secure the win.
