FRIDAY

FRIDAY NIGHT is CLUB NIGHT at CAFFE AMOURI. "We'll be pulling the vinyl from the walls, your choice (or bring your own), putting out board games, serving up yummy drinks and snacks....basically a RELAXING end to a WET, WILD and STRESSFUL week," the shop says. The event begins at 7 p.m.

The Ahn Trio plays at 8 p.m. at Wolf Trap.

SATURDAY

is selling flower bulbs beginning at 8 a.m. at the , 131 Church St NE, Vienna, VA.

While at the market, contribute to the Vienna Optimist Club's homeless clothing drive for youth at Shelter House. (The Optimists run the farmers market). Last week, the market raised more than $200 and gathering over 12 bags of clothing.

At 8:30 a.m., at 10203 Cedar Pond Dr, Vienna, VA. (Right off Hunter Mill Road). They'll be selling a futon, stereo, speakers, cds & dvds, books, jewelry, men's & women's clothing, shoes, cocktail & evening dresses, lots of household items and kitchenware. The sale ends at 1 p.m.

will be hosting its annual Open House on 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. This year's theme is “Protect Your Family From Fire”. Lots of fun and games for the kids.

From noon until 3 p.m., come meet the PBS Sprout sensation, SuperWhy! Two of the characters will be stopping by the Whole Foods Market. Get your pictures taken, and have some fun with with folks from Play with Words Children's museum.

From 1 to 5 p.m.,join the Northern Virginia Model Railroaders Club along the bike path near the red caboose. The railroaders say "We maintain a permanent HO Scale layout depicting the Western North Carolina Railroad (now part of the Norfolk & Western Railroad) during the transition period from steam to diesel (the late 1940s to the early 1950s). A traction element is also on display with the trolleys receiving their power from the overhead wire. In addition, Thomas-the-Tank Engine and some of his friends are also featured."

From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., purchase something from the hot bar at Whole Foods Vienna, 143 Maple Avenue East and 5 percent of hot bar food sales will go to the Louise Archer Elementary PTA. 

SUNDAY

Louise Archer Elementary School's Second Annual 5k Race and 1k Family Fun Run begins at 8 a.m. on the W+OD and Church Street. Race day registration and pickup is at Evolution Gym 216 Dominion Road NE. More details here.

Join Our Daily Bread (ODB) for a creative, inspirational service project event as community members gather in event T-shirts to create a unique “living painting” to be photographed from high above by Art for the Sky. Our advance registration date has passed, but we still have a limited number of event T-shirts available for a $20 donation (large size only) - order yours now at this link!   Participants are also asked to bring a food drive donation that day.
